Raspberrystar sat patiently near the camp entrance to StormClan. She was waiting for her apprentice, Graypaw, to come for her first training session. The leader wondered in her head in she had made the right decision, taking Graypaw as an apprentice. Maybe I should've given her to Darksplash or Roseflight, she thought gloomily as she stared at the muddy ground. However, Raspberrystar was determined that she would train Graypaw the best she possibly could. She looked up, staring at the camp entrance once more.

Graypaw padded out of the den and up to where Raspberrystar was waiting for waiting. She dipped her head respectfully to her "Greating Raspberrystar, sorry that I was late. I won't happen again. So what are we doing today?" She said to her leader.

"It's alright. No cat is perfect. We are all late once in a while.", Raspberrystar reassured, rising to her paws. After taking a few steps, she explained, "Today we will be exploring the territory. And then, if it isn't dark out yet, then I will also teach you how to hunt." Pointing with her tail, the leader continued, "We will start at the RainClan border. It is only across the river."

She nodded. "All of the borders? Cool!" She remembered the time her and Jasminepaw snuck out of camp when they were kits. Although that wasn't the first time for her to be out in the forest. "Hunting? Yes! I've been practicing on moss balls for as long as I can remember. Anyways lets go." She smiled with excitement.

"You have a lot of enthusiasm, I see. That's a good thing.", Raspberrystar observed. "Alright, so we're almost near the river. It's very close to our camp. We will have to travel a little upstream, to where the stepping-stones are. They are next to a large oak near the river's bank.", she meowed as she walked. Before she knew it, the golden leader was about a cat-length from the river's bank. "We are going in this direction.", Raspberrystar told her apprentice, flicking her ears upstream.

"Thank you!" She dipped her head and smiled. "Isn't it a bad thing if it is close to our camp, though? If there was a bad storm then couldn't that flood the camp possibly?"She asked out of curiosity. "Rainclan's territory is on the other side of the river, correct?" She asked again...it was more like a statement and to check and she if she was right. "Wow! It really is close to the camp. May take a drink of water please? Before we head upstream?" Her mouth wasn't that dry but she wanted to taste the cool crisp water.

"Of course, you can take a drink from the river anytime you would like.", she meowed warmly. "And actually, we have a strip of land across the river that is adjacent to our camp.", Raspberrystar told Graypaw. She pointed to the bank across the river with her tail. "But yes, the river could flood our camp. But that isn't very likely, because we are protected by a few trees that lay in between our camp and the river. Also, it is on higher ground than the river.", the leader continued. Bending her head slightly to lap the rushing water, she concluded, "After you've had a drink, we will head to the stepping-stones. I'll show you the border between us and RiverClan."

She bent her head down and lapped the clean, cool, crisp water with her tounge. "Oh well thats good." She smiled and meowed after hearing that they where on a higher ground thatn the river and that there were barriers to protect the camp and her clanmates. Graypaw lifted her head up and stepped back from the rushing river and looked towards the stepping stones. The young apprentice tilted her head up slighly and sniffed the air. She smelt the forest and some prey. She also smelt some thing horrid. Graypaw rinkled her nose, signing that she smelt fish and Rainclan. "Does Rainclan actually eat fish?!" She gaged at the smell.

[*Ahem*: "We will have to travel a little upstream, to where the stepping-stones are." Raspberrystar smiled and supressed a laugh. "Yes, RainClan eats fish. In drastic measures, us StormClan cats do eat fish. But it's not a normal part of our fresh-kill pile.", she explained to Graypaw, her voice soaked with humor. Then, turning serious again, the golden she-cat padded a few paces forward, seeing the stepping-stones not too far away. "Here are the stepping-stones.", she meowed to her apprentice. |

She smiled and laughed too. Graypaw fallowed her mentor and saw the stepping stones. "Do we ever use them? The stepping stones?" She asked Raspberrystar.

Raspberrystar was appalled at her apprentice's question. "Of course we use the stepping-stones! That is why they exist. And we have valuable hunting grounds across the river. There are plenty of alternate prey that could feed StormClan in times of great need.", she explained. As she spoke, she jumped from the riverbank to the first stepping-stone.

"Of course, Roseflight.", Raspberrystar meowed, dipping her head to the queen. "We were just about to cross the stepping-stones.", she continued, jumping to the next stepping-stone. The golden leader beckoned with her tail to Graypaw and Roseflight. "I'm currently giving Graypaw her tour of the territory.", she meowed.

"Oh I see."she said as she caught up to the clan leader."What will you be doing after that?If you were planning on demonstrating fighting technices I could help you."she offered."After that I must go back to the clan,I need to see Shadowclaw and Mouseberry,Ive been looking a little plump lately."she explained "I hope its what I think it is."
