Darksplash came out of the Warriors' den, her fur rumpled from sleep. She padded outside of camp, out to the Great Tree, and plopped down in the shade. She rolled onto her back, and started grooming her fur.

"If you can't tell, I'm enjoying the shade." The she-cat teased. "It's so stuffy in the warriors' den." Darkness started cleaning her paws, then her face.

She stopped to think. They had showed her the river, the Great Tree, where else? "Let's check out the clearing where we will work on battle," she said to the apprentice, and nodded to Darksplash and trotted off.
